Are family recollections considered evidence?
Yes. A recollection is legitimate attributed source material, though it is not automatically the same as an independently documented fact.
The Chronicle is built partly from what people remember, and those memories deserve to be preserved in their own names and contexts. Kin & Chronicle records who supplied an account and distinguishes it from a document, contextual inference, later retelling, or another person’s recollection. A memory can stand even when no outside record survives. Clear attribution honors the family voice without pretending every remembered detail has been independently verified.
