Does Kin & Chronicle do genealogy research?

Kin & Chronicle researches the historical world around a family’s supplied story. It does not research the family tree for them.

Contextual historical research may explain a place, community, industry, occupation, institution, war, migration, business, or event that materially surrounds the family’s account. Kin & Chronicle is not an ancestor-discovery or open-ended genealogy service: it does not promise to find missing relatives, construct undocumented branches, chase vital certificates, search cemeteries, or solve tree gaps. The family may supply evidence, consult another person, obtain a genealogist, or leave a matter unresolved. Context must never be treated as proof of a family claim it does not establish.
