What does AI actually do?
Technology assists transcription, organization, comparison, and drafting. A person directs and reviews the editorial work.
AI-assisted tools may help transcribe recordings, search and organize material, compare accounts, identify gaps, or suggest a question or draft passage. Those suggestions are working material, not evidence. Douglas reviews the work and directs editorial decisions; the family reviews the Chronicle before production. Technology does not supply missing family facts or approve publication. Applicable providers and processing are addressed in the commission.
