What happens to our material when the commission ends?

Kin & Chronicle is designed as a temporary steward, not the permanent keeper of a family’s private archive.

The intended sequence is final approval, organized export and manifest, integrity verification, delivery, family confirmation that the archive is received and readable, an agreement-defined grace period, and a qualified purge of Kin & Chronicle-controlled working copies listed in the project’s data-location record. The studio then provides deletion confirmation and retains only reusable method, legally required business records, and separately authorized public material. Exact retention belongs in the agreement. Kin & Chronicle does not promise instantaneous deletion or erasure of every transient outside-provider copy beyond that provider’s available controls.

Begin with fit, not an archive upload.

A Project Fit Conversation is a high-level, no-obligation way to ask whether a Chronicle commission could responsibly serve your family.
